Introduction

My name is [name], and I was born to [father name] and [mother name] on [date of birth] in [address]. I am originally from [address] and have lived there until now. I have a family of four, including ****

My Academics

Regarding my education, I completed my grade 10 from [school name] in [year], obtaining 92.36%. I enrolled in [college name] for my higher education 11 and 12 grade choosing Science faculty. I completed high school with 82.11%, with the first division in the year of [year].

My keen interest in technology led me to choose Electronics and Communication Engineering. I decided to join BE (Elx and Comm.) at [college name]. I have completed my Bachelor’s degree in the year [year] with a GPA of 3.20.

Also, I appeared in an IELTS conducted on [date] as a college enrollment procedure. I secured an overall test score of 8.5 with 9 in listening, 9 in reading, 7.5 in writing and 8.5 in speaking.

Work Experience

After the completion of my Bachelor's degree, I started working at [company name] as a network engineer for [years] starting from [date].

Reason for Choosing Master of Cyber Security

I have always been keen on technology. After completing my bachelor's degree and working as a network engineer, I learned more about system designing, computer networking, and securing system servers and databases. During the job, my interest in the internet and cyber security grew. This pushed me further towards researching networking and cyber security.

After the research, I discovered that with rapid technological advancement, the Internet had become an integral part of global development. The world today faces genuine challenges related to the internet and security. Digital attacks that can damage global organizations are a threat today. As a result, cyber security is a genuine necessity and has a broader scope worldwide. So, I decided to study for a Masters in Cyber Security.

Why Australia?

Australia is a popular educational destination for international students because of its best universities and colleges recognized worldwide. The Australian education system is modern and thus implements the newest technologies and innovations in research and learning.

Along with educational excellence, Australia holds a multicultural background of students, oceans of opportunities for the students, a suitable climate similar to Nepal, affordable living expenses, scholarships for international students, a low crime rate, developed infrastructures, and a history of less racism. Also, the support students in Australia get from the governmental and institutional agencies for international students is tremendous.

All these aspects have made me choose Australia over other countries. I believe that studying in Australia will provide the perfect knowledge, practical skills, and career-oriented training, which will make me more confident and help me achieve my ambition in the coming future.

Why Not [home country]?

[country] Universities do not offer MIT in specialized courses like Cyber Security but have similar courses like MIT, MSc. Cs IT at [university] and [university]. But, the courses offered there are more theoretical and less practical due to the lack of the newest essential resources and methods of teaching. For a computer science-related field like MIT, where the theories should go hand in hand with the practical, the education system in [country] is less preferable.

However, because of the tremendous rise in the number of IT companies and the list of expertise and competition getting rapid, courses based on IT are best for career development in [country]. Due to this fact, I researched studying abroad and learned that 8 out of 100 top universities in the world are [your applying country] universities. Also, over a billion of the world’s population relies on [your applying country] discoveries, including Wi-Fi, AI-Powered Robots, Cryptography, Advanced Computing, and Advanced Forensic Labs for Cyber Security.

After knowing about the excellence of the [your applying country] education system and its practicability in the global market, I believe that my decision to higher studies in [your applying country] will shape me into a skilful, creative and highly competent in the global band.

Why **** University?

**** is the best-suited option for my higher education since it is one of the highest-ranked universities globally (top 1% of world universities according to the QS World University Rankings, 2019). It is a leading university in Australia itself with the best ranking.

The second reason is that ***** the university has flexible information technology courses. Being an engineering graduate, I was looking for a course majoring in networking and security for my higher studies. ***** is recognized as number 1 in Sydney for its speciality in Information Technology.

Furthermore, ***** has 5 QS stars in teaching, employability, research, facilities, internationalization, innovation, inclusiveness and specialist criteria according to the QS Stars University Ratings, 20**.

Besides all these, the tuition fee is also affordable for such a highly-ranked university. The scholarship scheme of AUD **** for a [country] student, which reduces tuition fees from AUD $ *** to AUD $ **** is feasible. Thus, the MIT course at **** is much more affordable to me than the other universities.

Why not other Universities

I looked into other *** universities like the University of ***, ***, ***

The reason for choosing **** universities over the University of **** is the feasible tuition fee and the scholarship scheme for South Asian students (including ***). As compared to the University of ****, the fee **** was less.

The university fee at *** University was more or less the same as that of **** University, but **** is better ranked and, thus, was preferable. The same was the case with *** University. Even though the tuition fee was lesser, ***  had a better rank.

I preferred **** over the University of **** because, despite the good academic reputation of the university, its location was not very favourable.

Career and Future Plans

My first and foremost plan for my career is to obtain an *** Master’s degree, as an international degree, along with a brief period of work experience. This will allow me to land a job here in-home country, [country]. In addition, I plan to use my knowledge and authentic experiences to polish my working skills.

As I will achieve a Masters's degree in IT specialization in Cyber Security from **** University, I can apply as a possible candidate for jobs such as a Network Security Analyst, Ethical Hacker, Information System Security Officer, System Administration, IT Risk Management Officer, etc.

The past decade has seen massive technological development in [country], whether in the government or private sectors. This has expanded the scope of employment opportunities in the networking and cybersecurity sectors.

Thus, after completing my studies in [your applying country], I will return to my nation and will work for some well-known IT companies in [country] like [company name]

With my working experience, an international degree, knowledge, and better skills in the field, I aim to establish a company that provides services like secured network design and cyber risk assessment and control. And by doing this, I want to contribute from my side to my country by improving the IT system and infrastructure.

Incentive To Return To Home Country

After completion of my Master's Degree and Post-study work visa, I will return to [country], my home country, because I have my family here in [country], and I have many responsibilities towards them. Also, there are wider opportunities for employment and better areas and scopes to surf in networking and cyber security in [country]. For youth like me, we have a bunch of duties towards our country. I intend to return to my homeland and serve for the betterment of the nation.

Sincerely Yours,
