Technological change and the digital economy raise new economic and managerial challenges for businesses and public and private sector organisations. Birkbeck is a centre for excellence in research and inspirational teaching in business innovation.
Our MSc Business Innovation with International Technology Management is designed to help you understand the importance of innovation for rethinking management, business strategy, corporate assets, intellectual property rights, institutions, organisations, firms, entrepreneurship and globalisation in a changing world. It will equip you with theories, principles and tools for analysing and coping with business innovation issues.
The programme is also offered with specialisation in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management or E-Business.
You complete eight taught modules (totalling 120 credits) and write a 12,000-word dissertation (worth 60 credits).
The modules include six compulsory modules (choosing either The Dynamics of Global Capitalism: Theory and Practice, or Globalization: Forces, Players and Management), and two option modules, choosing one from Group 1 and one from Group 2.
Please note, the availability of the module Entrepreneurial Venture Creation is subject to demand as it has limited capacity.
Birkbeck makes all reasonable efforts to deliver educational services, modules and programmes of study as described on our website. In the event that there are material changes to our offering (for example, due to matters beyond our control), we will update applicant and student facing information as quickly as possible and offer alternatives to applicants, offer-holders and current students.
