Bachelor of Automobile Engineering in Nepal is a recently introduced four-year undergraduate program focusing on automobiles, their design, manufacturing, and operation.
Several colleges and universities provide a B.E. program in Automobile engineering in Nepal. Only two Tribhuvan University (TU) constituent colleges (Thapathali and Paschimanchal campuses) provide this course.
Similarly, the School of Engineering of Kathmandu University (KU) also offers the same course under the Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) in Mechanical Engineering.
Students are selected on a merit basis for automobile engineering courses. However, to be eligible to study the B.E Automobile Engineering program, students must have secured a minimum ‘C” grade and studied Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in classes 11 and 12.

Under the KU SOE Scholarship, Kathmandu University provides scholarships to 1st-year students during admission on a need basis.
