The Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development (BED) programme is a pioneering course in Nepal under entrepreneurship studies introduced by Pokhara University (PoU) in 2077.
This interdisciplinary course incorporates eight semesters (two semesters per year) with 125 credit hours. It focuses on the challenges of entrepreneurship and business leadership skills.
Only Pokhara University offers an entrepreneurship degree program.
Upon completing the entrepreneurship development course, you can start a business and develop innovative and insightful solutions to complex problems. Admission Requirements for Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development in Nepal
Students who have completed +2/PCL or equivalent level in any discipline with minimum D+ grades in each subject are eligible to apply for the undergraduate course in entrepreneurship studies.
Entrance Examination
Students must appear and pass the entrance examination held by Pokhara University before enrolling for the BED course.
The entrance examination includes a written test followed by an interview. The written test covers Verbal Ability, Logical Reasoning, Quantitative Ability, and General Awareness.
After completing the entrance examination, PoU will publish the merit list based on the written test, interview, and marks of previous academic qualifications.

Concentration Themes
Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development in Nepal has three different concentration themes – community-based entrepreneurship, private-sector entrepreneurship and enterprise development facilitation. You can choose one specialisation from each of the allocated elective subjects.

Bachelor of Entrepreneurship Development Scholarship Provisions
There are 48 seats in the BED programme, out of which 20 % are allocated for scholarships.
The scholarship will be available as per the rule of the University. A separate application is required as per University Scholarship Procedure.
