To study Bachelor of IT in Canada, you first need to know about the admission requirements of the universities and assess whether you meet the eligibility criteria. 

The eligibility criteria of Canadian universities are more demanding than the eligibility requirements in the Canadian Colleges (discussed in detail below). 

IELTS Requirement for Bachelor of Information Technology in Canada

International students must demonstrate their English proficiency via one of the English proficiency tests like TOEFL, IELTS, or PTE. To study for the Bachelor of Information Technology in Canada, you must score a minimum of 6.5 in IELTS with no band less than 6. 

The equivalent score in other tests like TOEFL and PTE also counts. You need to visit the official website of the college or university and check the English language requirements of the program you are applying for to be sure. 

If you are applying for diploma courses in computer science or Information Technology, the minimum requirement is an overall 6.0 in IELTS with no sub-section less than 5.5. These diploma courses are also more affordable and shorter (1 to 3 years) than Bachelor of Information Technology courses in Canada. 

Some Universities even demand SATs from students. 

Academic Requirement to study Bachelor of Information Technology in Canada

Students must complete 12 years of schooling to be eligible for a Bachelor of IT in Canada. They must pass an intermediate or high school level with atleast 55% to enrol in a BIT degree in Canada. 

Note that the academic requirements for a Bachelor of IT in Universities are more challenging than a Bachelor of Information Technology in Colleges. Where the colleges generally demand a score of 55% in aggregate, Canadian public Universities demand atleast 70% in aggregate at the intermediate level.
