Basic Requirements of Colleges in Canada for international students
Almost every Canadian college has the following admission requirements. Depending on some programs, the thresholds may differ slightly (be higher or lower).
- English proficiency tests (IELTS/ TOEFL/PTE): A minimum IELTS score 6.5 with no band score less than 6. A minimum TOEFL score of 84, with a minimum score of 20 in each band.
- For postgraduate, at least a 3-year bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
- A minimum GPA of 2.4 or 50% in 10+2 or bachelors.
- A well-written SOP demonstrating your academic history, experiences and reason for choosing the specific program or college.
