  • A spotless environment: Tasmania is well-known for its temperate climate, globally significant wilderness and historic areas, and numerous mountain peaks and rivers to explore. Not to mention the sophisticated lifestyle its charming cities offer and a thriving cuisine and culture scene.
  • Excellent research opportunities: The institution heavily focuses on practical learning to provide students with excellent preparation for their future employment. You can also apply for student exchange or study abroad at one of the 140+ partnering colleges in the United States, Europe, and Asia for up to a year.
  • Excellent student assistance: More than 200 rewards are offered via the Scholarships and Prizes program. Its campuses enable you to participate in organisations, groups, and sports teams to keep active and sociable between classes. To help you achieve your goals, the institution also offers counselling services, peer mentorship, and student and career advisors.
  • You will be more than a number: Tasmania provides outstanding courses in an incredible setting, and its teaching is underpinned by world-leading research, so you can be confident that you'll have direct access to the best experts. It keeps class numbers small so lecturers and tutors can connect with you individually and provide individualised advice and guidance not usually accessible at more prominent universities.

A network of more than 105,000 alums from over 120 countries strengthens the University's community beyond the undergraduate experience. It is supported through creative collaborations with other organisations with similar strategic goals.

Tasmania is perfectly positioned to provide an authentically Australian experience. The state is mainly English-speaking, with traditional Australian culture, all in a beautiful and fun-filled setting. The University of Tasmania's two international campuses in Hobart and Launceston are large enough to provide a thriving and distinctive educational environment with world-class facilities but small enough to ensure social ties among faculty and students and a clear emphasis on the person's needs.
