The University of Central Lancashire (UCLan) is one of the UK's most creative and rapidly developing universities, offering a wide choice of undergraduate and postgraduate degree programs and a superb student experience. It is a contemporary university in Preston, Lancashire, with a history of education dating back over 200 years to its establishment in 1828.

UCLan is an employment-focused university that equips students to pursue meaningful careers and acquire competitive jobs in various future-oriented work sectors. There are about 350 undergraduate degrees and over 200 postgraduate degrees available.

Work internships are often integrated into the course curriculum in many programs, ensuring students have enough chances to obtain hands-on experience before graduation. UCLan has a global cooperation network of over 120 institutions and organisations, contributing to its alum's success.

The University serves a vibrant, highly international student and staff body of roughly 38,000 people, establishing a friendly and inclusive community of learners from more than 100 countries worldwide. Students are spread over four locations: Preston's main campus, campuses in Burnley and Westlakes, and a fourth international school in Cyprus.

According to a recent analysis by PriceWaterhouseCoopers (PwC) and the think tank Demos, Preston is the finest city in North West England to live and work in (Demos-PWC Good Growth for Cities Index 2021).

It has also been rated the UK's second-best city for graduates to live in (Comparethemarket.com, 2022). Preston is a vibrant student city with lovely green spots to relax and unwind.

Furthermore, the city's good transportation links are a gateway to the North West and beyond.

Preston Campus just received a £200 million investment. In late 2021, a brand-new Student Centre in the centre of campus will open. This comes from the £35 million Engineering Innovation Centre (EIC), a cutting-edge teaching and research facility.

UCLan's academic organisation is divided into numerous schools, each offering 400 undergraduate and over 200 postgraduate degrees, either part-time or full-time.

Arts, applied and biomedical sciences, business and management, psychology, engineering, social science, design and fashion, language and global studies, medicine and nursing,  journalism, community service, media studies, and sports are among the fields offered by the institution.

The University of Central Lanchasire is a diverse community of around 30,000 students from over 100 nationalities, with 58% girls and 48% males.
