    The University of Central Florida has nine smaller regional campuses across central Florida. The institution belongs to Florida's State University System. The university is one of the largest universities spread out throughout 1,415 acres of land, 800 of which are natural grassland and woods and has the second-largest student population of any public institution in the U.S. as of the Fall 2021 semester.

    The University of Central Florida was established to provide employees to serve the expanding American space program at the Florida Space Coast's Kennedy Space Center and Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Florida Tech was renamed the University of Central Florida in 1978 as its academic reach went beyond engineering and technology.

    More than 230 degrees are available from the University of Central Florida (UCF) through its 13 colleges at its 10 regional campuses in Central Florida, which include the Health Sciences Campus at Lake Nona Medical City, the Rosen College of Hospitality Management in south Orlando, and the UCF Center for Emerging Media in the city's centre. UCF has granted over 60,000 graduate and professional degrees since it was founded, totalling over 346,000 degrees.

The student union is located in Pegasus Circle, in the middle of the campus. All academic buildings are in the outer Gemini Circle, divided into pie-shaped portions.

    Scholarships

    University students can apply for governmental and private scholarships at the University of Central Florida. Scholarships are often not reimbursed and are given out for several reasons, such as academic excellence, financial need, engagement in the community and on campus, and leadership experience.

    Academic Scholars in Florida (FAS)

    The most prestigious and valuable Bright Futures scholarship is this one. Recipients of Florida Academic Scholars (FAS) may receive support for up to 120 semester hours toward completing a first bachelor's degree for five years following high school graduation. The Florida Academic Scholars will be given an award that covers 100% of their tuition and other associated costs. The Academic Top Scholars Award will also be given to the Florida Academic Scholar in each county with the highest academic standing.

    Pegasus Scholarship Programs

    Undergraduate Admissions presents Pegasus Scholarships to incoming students to honour exceptional academic achievement. This scholarship program does not need a separate application. Any applicant for admission to UCF for the summer or autumn is automatically considered.

    Private scholarships

    Students who expect financial aid from a source other than UCF should disclose it using the Self Report Private Scholarships feature on myUCF. This report serves as a stand-in so that financial assistance can make any required modifications before disbursing aid. If students don't disclose the money, their financial assistance may need to be adjusted, resulting in less money being granted.

    Application Process

    Freshman Applicants

    • Official High School Transcript: For candidates still in high school, an official transcript up to their junior year must be delivered to the address shown below. Some students might need to submit their grades from their senior year.
    • SATs not Required: If a student chooses to submit SAT I or ACT results, they may do so from their high school transcript or by requesting an official copy from the testing organisation. The ACT code for Western New England University is 1930, while the SAT code is 3962.
    • A letter of recommendation is not required.

    Transfer Students 

    Official College Transcript(s): Students must present official transcripts for all of the attempted college work (A.P., I.B., and CLEP credits are not considered part of the 24 credits) if not the graduation transcript or GED score report (photocopies will not be accepted).

    International Applicants

    • Official Secondary and College Transcripts: Official secondary school transcript(s) and, if possible, an official transcript of the current grades and an English translation of the document(s).
    • English Proficiency: Applicants should show evidence of English language competence.
