    Trine University is a private educational institution in Angola, Indiana. The university was established in 1884 AD and provides various business, education, arts and sciences, and engineering programs.

    Trine University was named in honour of Drs. Ralph and Sheri Trine, who served as trustees for the university. Since its founding more than 135 years ago, the university has been dedicated to quality and upholds its standards. The institute routinely ranks among the top colleges in the Midwest, according to U.S. News & World Report.

    Both graduate and undergraduate degrees are offered at Trine University. The university's schools and colleges include the Franks School of Education, the Jannen School of Arts and Sciences, the Ketner School of Business, the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, and the College of Graduate and Professional Studies. Five schools and a college subsume the university.

    Trine University has a 17:1 student-to-faculty ratio and provides associate's, bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degrees in more than 50 fields of study, including 39 conventional undergraduate degrees. It began offering a Master of Physician Assistant Studies degree in the autumn of 2018 A.D. and is continuing to grow its health sciences programs. In 2020, an online RN-to-BSN program will be introduced, along with master's degrees in nursing and speech-language pathology.

    There are 4,646 students enrolled at the university, and in 2019 A.D., 99.4% of them were employed or enrolled in graduate school six months after receiving their diplomas. It has an average class size of 19.8 students. The institution has invested more than $155 million in campus improvements since 2000. The Engineering Accreditation Commission of ABET, the Council for the Accreditation of Educator Preparation (CAEP), and the Department of Education/Office of Educator Licensing and Development (DOE/OELD) have all granted it accreditation.

    There are state-of-the-art sports and recreation facilities on campus, such as a fitness centre, swimming pool, hockey rink, boathouse, climbing wall, and martial arts studios. The other campus amenities include a bookshop, studio theatre, rehearsal space, performance space, and private practice studios. 

    Angola's capital is a tranquil place with lots of entertainment options. Students can spend their free time at parks, cafés, restaurants, and bars. The university also has more than 60 clubs and student groups, eight fraternities, and five sororities for students to join and meet others who share their interests.

    Legacy Award

    For freshly enrolled first-year and transfer students who are the offspring, grandchildren, or siblings of Trine alumni, the Legacy Award is available for currently enrolled siblings. The Legacy Award has a yearly value of $2,000.

    Alumni Referral Award

    Any new student who applies, is accepted, enrols at Trine University and is formally recommended by a University alumnus is eligible for an alum referral award. A $500 prize will be given to the incoming Trine University graduate.

    Pre-Health Track Scholarships

    A $1,000 stipend is available to any newly enrolled first-year student who wants to follow the Pre-Medical Professional Track, Pre-Physical Therapy Professional Track, or Pre-Physician Assistant Track.
