    South Asian School of Tourism and Hotel Management (SASTHM) is a world-class educational institution dedicated to excellence and innovation. The college was founded in 2001 AD.

    South Asian School of Tourism and Hotel Management (SASTHM) is located in the heart of Biratnagar, Nepal's second largest city. SASTHM has a modern infrastructure, well-equipped Hotel Management and Computer labs, student-centred teaching pedagogy, spacious and well-ventilated classrooms, regular extracurricular activities, assignment and project work, a plethora of scholarships and stipends for needy and deserving students, a hygienic cafeteria on campus, and an accessible, peaceful, and academic locale. Furthermore, SASTHM is one of the few hotel management schools in Nepal with its own fully operational hotel and commercial bakery plant, which is only two kilometres from the SASTHM campus.

    South Asian School of Tourism and Hotel Management (SASTHM) has been offering its undergraduate program, Bachelor in Hotel Management (BHM), since 2001 and has a decade of experience; it also began its Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) program in 2009 in collaboration with Purbanchal University (PU). SASTHM is now an Icon Institute in the eastern zone, home to over 250 promising students.

    Scholarships

    At the time of admission, SASTHM offers a number of scholarships, including:

    • The Meritorious Scholarship for students with outstanding academic performance in their intermediate level of studies.
    • Need-based scholarships are available to students who cannot afford to pay for their education.
    • Minority groups are eligible for Privileged Scholarships.
    • SASTHM Students Scholarship is available to students who have completed their intermediate or (10+2) studies at Arniko Boarding School in Biratnagar.

    The SASTHM scholarship offered during admission will be based on the student's academic performance, entrance examination, and interview. However, the scholarship offered at the time of admission is only valid for the first semester, and students can apply for Performance Based Scholarships for the remaining semesters.

    In order to recognize and appreciate the outstanding performance of BBA students, the management committee has instituted a transparent and competitive performance based reward system. The scholarship for the following semester is entirely dependent on the student's performance in the previous semester. Performance Based Scholarship will be awarded solely on the basis of internal grading earned during a semester.

    Application Process

    Eligibility criteria for Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) and Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM):

    Aspirants must have completed intermediate (10+2) or an equivalent level of examination from a Board/University recognized by Purbanchal University (PU).

    Students with 10+2 management can enroll in the BBA program, while any faculty member can enroll in the BHM program with at least 45% in their plus two.

    Documents Required:

    • 10+2 Transcript and  SEE/SLC grade sheet.
    • Provisional and migration certificate of 10+2.
    • Original equivalence certificate(if any).
    • Citizenship or a valid passport.
    • 3pp sized Photos.
