Nepal Engineering College, commonly known as NEC, is an engineering institute that offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate engineering degrees. It is a private-sector-led nonprofit organization.

Nepal Engineering College (NEC) is located in Changunarayan, Bhaktapur. It was established in 1994 A.D.

Nepal Engineering College was laid by a few visionary Nepalese academics and professionals who recognized the need for an institution to serve the country's technical education needs to accelerate economic growth. This pioneering example provided by NEC resulted in the construction of various engineering institutions across the country in the private sector later on.

This pioneering example provided by Nepal Engineering College resulted in the later construction of various engineering institutions across the country in the private sector. NEC is devoted to maintaining its long-earned status as "an institution concerned with quality and academic independence," once again setting a good lead for others to follow.

Nepal Engineering College is continually creating, improving, and standardizing the academic curriculum and offering Bachelors's and Masters's level programs in engineering, technology, and associated subjects. NEC expects to continue with this project in the future, delivering additional creative and applicable courses in existing and growing fields.

NEC began with few physical and instructional facilities and has now developed into an institution with resources equivalent to any reputable university in the country or area. The physical infrastructure and teaching materials, set on 228 ropani (11.6 hectares) of land in Bhaktapur's Changunarayan VDC, provide a natural setting and a great learning environment.

International Linkages, an Information Communication and Technology (ICT) Center, lab enhancements, research facilities, co-curricular events, site visits, study tours, and a library are a few of the college's notable features.
