The Memorial University of Newfoundland, usually known as Memorial University or MUN, is a public university centered in St. John's, Newfoundland, and Labrador, with satellite campuses in Corner Brook, elsewhere in the province, Saint Pierre, and Harlow, England.

History
Founded approximately 100 years ago as a tiny teachers' training institution, it has subsequently evolved into a complete doctorate university with over 100 degree programs. Memorial University has nurtured the skills of many successful people over this time. Our graduates have become leaders in business, industry, education, research, government, and a variety of entrepreneurial ventures locally and abroad.
In 2017, the overall enrollment at the institution was 18,204 students, comprising around 13,500 undergraduates and 3,800 graduate students. That massive increase was between 1925 and the inaugural class of 55 pupils.
