Hansraj College is one of the University of Delhi's major constituent institutions. On July 26, 1948, the D.A.V. Institution Managing Committee established the college in the hallowed memory of Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati and Mahatma Hansraj, who spent their glorious lives stressing the significance of knowledge.
