    Global Academy of Tourism and Hospitality Education (GATE) is a well-known name in hospitality education in Nepal. GATE is also the first academy in Nepal to get a global award at the World Hospitality Awards in Paris in the categories of "Most Innovative Training Program - 2011" and "The Best Professional Success" finalist - 2015. With its long affiliation with the Swiss Hospitality Benchmark, hotelleriesuisse, and as a member of the EHL recognized school network from January 2021, GATE is happy to provide tailored, time-tested Swiss model hospitality training in Nepal.

    GATE was founded in May of 2007. The institution, located in Mandikhatar, Kathmandu, has been a leader in developing, offering, and improving Hospitality & Tourism Education in Nepal since its inception. GATE has been offering individuals and society since its early roots by providing various academic, skill-based, vocational (short/long) courses in collaboration with CTEVT Nepal and the Australian Government acknowledged course: Certificate III in Commercial Cookery delivered in partnership with TAFE NSW. Many believe GATE to be Nepal's leading Hospitality College.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree

    A minimum of 45% in class 12 or equivalent is required. Priority is given to students who have completed at least two years of hospitality studies. If a student's grade point average falls below 25%, they will be assigned a project to finish under the monitoring of the GATE authority appointed by Executive Academic Affairs. The Academic Standard Committee will accept their admission if they meet the above-mentioned strategy. An entrance exam, interview, literary test, numeracy test, and English essays are required.

    • Undergraduate Diploma: 

    Students must have achieved the School Leaving Certificate (SLC) or an equivalent certificate; students must have a basic grasp of the English language, both oral and written; candidates with other credentials will be assessed on a case-by-case basis.
