Fanshawe College was once known as Fanshawe School of Applied Arts and Technology. Even though it is a postsecondary educational establishment in Canada that receives funding from the government, the institution is best known by its name.

This is the name the institution has been known by during its existence. The institution was one of the first members of the Ontario College Athletic Organization, dating back to when the association was just being founded.

This dates to the early days of the association (OCAA). The educational institution gave its first class in 1967 and currently offers more than 220 undergraduate degrees, certificates, and apprenticeships in addition to more than 50 postgraduate certificate programs.

1967 was the first time the educational establishment gave its first class. It is common knowledge that Fanshawe College is one of the educational institutions in the whole of the Canadian province of Ontario that has the highest student population density.

This is mainly because, at the start of every academic year, it welcomes 43,000 new students. Each year, more than 500,000 students get their education at one of the university's four campuses, which are situated in London, St. Thomas, Simcoe, and Woodstock.

Students at the university have access to various educational opportunities and programs, allowing them to select classes and majors that fulfill any academic prerequisite and cater to various lifestyles. These programs may take any one of several different approaches.

Traditional classroom learning in a group setting, working one-on-one with a trained specialist, professional networking, and collaboration are other ways to acquire knowledge. Several classes offer opportunities for learning on a part-time basis and weekends; these classes are perfect for adults who are already working.

Applicants from countries other than the United States must have an overall grade point average of 77-79%, corresponding to a grade point average of at least 2.5 on a scale of 4.0.

The typical requirements for admission to Fanshawe College include submitting supporting documentation and a minimum score of 6.0 on the International English Language Testing System (IELTS).

A bus ticket, the Fanshawe Cares Arrival, Accommodation Services, health and dental insurance, a fitness membership, and the ability to participate in over 200 organizations and activities during the academic year are all covered by the tuition at Fanshawe University.

As a result of the fact that Fanshawe College provides more than sixty distinct co-op programs, career service programs, and entrepreneurial programs, by the time a student has graduated from Fanshawe College, they have acquired the training necessary to enter the profession and are equipped to be successful in their chosen field.

The employment rate of Fanshawe College is 90.3%, which demonstrates that the school's alumni can find work within six months after getting their degrees from the institution.
