Eligibility Criteria for CSIT Program:
- Should have completed twelve years of science stream or equivalent schooling from any university, board or institution recognized by TU.
- Passed the TU entrance exam with a minimum score of 35%, compiled with all the application procedures.
- Should have scored at least a C in all Grades 11 and 12 courses by taking 100-point Physics and Mathematics.
- Passed an A level in Science (with 100 scores in Physics and Mathematics) and at least a D grade.
Eligibility Criteria for BIT Program:
- Must have completed a twelve-year schooling curriculum in any stream or equivalent from a TU-approved university, board, or institution.
- Should have at least a 'C' grade or CGPA 2.0 in all subjects in Class 11 and 12 by taking English and Mathematics for 100 marks OR
- Attain at least a 'C' grade or CGPA 2.0 in all subjects in Class 11 and 12 by taking English and Mathematics for 100 marks.
- Passed A level in any subject with a minimum of a 'D' in English and Mathematics.
- Passed 3 Years Diploma in Engineering program from CTEVT taking English and Mathematics.

BSc CSIT Entrance Examination
The Institute of Science and Technology of Tribhuvan University administers a computer science and information technology entrance exam in Nepal. Entrance exams are required to enrol in B.Sc.CSIT programs at affiliated campuses and private colleges connected with Nepal's Tribhuvan University.
- The Dean's Office of Tribhuvan University's Institute of Science and Technology administers the entrance exam.
- The Entrance Exam will be 100 full marks and include courses from the Intermediate/10+2 level or equivalent, including English, Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry, with a pass mark of 35.

BIT Entrance Examination
Students must pass the TU IOST BIT entrance examination to get admitted to the Tribhuvan University Bachelor of Information Technology (BIT) program.The Entrance examination for the BIT program consists of 100 marks with 35 passing marks.
- The entrance examination will have a mark weight of 100 digits. Based on proficiency certificate level or 11th and 12th or similar courses, a two-hour test in general knowledge areas such as mathematics, computer technology, and English will be conducted.
- All the questions of the entrance examination will be objective.
- To pass the entrance examination, one has to get 35% marks.
- Suppose the examinees receive equal marks in the BIT entrance examination results. In that case, a merit list will be created based on the marks received in the mathematics subject in the entrance examination.
