Structure of CA Course in Nepal

  • CAP 1 (six months): Students must have earned an A level, Plus 2, or certificate level from an accredited institution before enrolling in CAP 1 (six months). The cost of the CAP1 course as a whole is Rs27,500. To join for CAP 2 level, they must also pass the ICAN eligibility test.
  • CAP2 (nine months): The entire cost of the CAP2 program through ICAN is Rs 32,500. They must pass an ICAN eligibility test to advance to the CA course's final phase.
  • CAP3 (three years), which includes practice training: They must have completed CAP1 and CAP2, enrolled as an article trainee working with a chartered accountant, and passed both exams. Article deeds must be signed and submitted to ICAN within a month of signing them.

  • The requirements for studying CA in Nepal could change depending on whether the students choose a foundation approach or a straight admission option.
  • Students must pass class 12 to study CA in Nepal. Students must enroll in the ICAI's foundation program. In Nepal, students from any field, including management and science, can pursue a CA degree.
  • You can acquire a straight admission path if you have earned a Bachelor's or Master's degree in commerce with a minimum of 55 to 60%.

Scholarships for studying CA Course in Nepal

There are many scholarships available for eligible students. Those who have met the following requirements can apply for scholarships. 

CAP-I Level: 

Students with a minimum of 2.8 CGPA or equivalent grade in the management stream or 3.2 GPA or more in other streams than management and are from economically, and geographically backward group can apply for a scholarship on an economically and geographically backward basis.

Students with a minimum of 3.2 GPA in management and a minimum of 3.6 CGPA in other streams than management can apply for the scholarship on a merit basis. 

CAP-II Level:

Students with a  minimum of 60% in Bachelor's degree or CAP I and from an economically and

geographically backward group can apply for scholarships on an economically and geographically backward basis.

A minimum of 75% in Bachelor's degree may apply for the scholarship on an eighterit basis
