In Nepal, Pulchowk Campus initiated Bachelor in Aerospace Engineering in 2075 BS to produce young aviation enthusiasts.
Various skills are needed for aerospace engineering, like mathematical, analytical, problem-solving, detail-oriented, creative and innovative thinking, time management, technical expertise, etc.
Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering in Nepal
Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering in Nepal is a four years course designed to create highly qualified technologists and engineers to design, manufacture and maintain aircraft. Moreover, the course enables students to analyze and learn advanced knowledge on various subjects per their specialization.
The course also prepares students to have entrepreneurial skills in the aviation industry.
Previously students needed to fly abroad to study for an undergraduate degree in Aerospace Engineering at an expensive cost.
However, this is not the case today as IOE, Pulchowk Campus, Tribhuvan University has started the program with the realization of the dream of students wanting to pursue higher education in the field of aerospace/aeronautical in the country.
The total allocated seats to study Bachelor of Aerospace Engineering in Nepal is 48.
After completion of the course, graduates of aerospace engineers will be equipped with technical and ethical knowledge applied in the development of the aerospace field of the country and abroad.
Elective courses graduates can do specialization on:
- Aircraft Design (Structural and Aerodynamic Design)
- Aircraft Maintenance Engineering
- Aerospace Fluid Mechanics/propulsion
- Material Science and Manufacturing Process
- Avionics and Aircraft Navigation.
Eligibility Criteria for BE Aerospace Engineering
- You must secure a minimum 'C' Grade in all subjects of Grades 11 and 12.
OR
- You must secure 50% marks in aggregate and 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) in 10+2 or equivalent examinations to be eligible to enrol in BE Aerospace Engineering.
- You must pass the entrance examination conducted by Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering (IoE), Entrance Examination Board.
