Evaluation metrics

Students are evaluated based on both written examinations and internal assessments. 

Written examination constitutes 70 marks, while internal assessment equals 30 marks. Internal assessment is provided by the respective institution based on projects, classroom presentations and other factors. 

B.A. Courses Fee Structure 

The fee structure is entirely dependent upon colleges and courses. 

General courses like Major Nepali, Major English, etc., are known for low fees. Meanwhile, courses like BSW, International development, psychology, and geology are comparatively expensive. 

Courses in private colleges cost comparatively higher than the Government colleges. 

Admission requirements for Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Nepal

Eligibility

Students must fulfil the following criteria to enrol for a Bachelor of Arts in Nepal.

  • Students must secure a D+ in all subjects in Grade 11 and Grade 12.
  • Students must have completed a 10+2 level or equivalent in Humanities or Science or Management Stream from any University or Board recognised by Tribhuvan University.
  • Students with +2 or equivalent qualification in any subject can apply for a Bachelor of Arts majoring in Social Work, Rural Development, and Sociology.
  • To study Journalism and Mass Communication as a primary subject in the BA program, students must study Journalism/Mass Communication at +2 or PCL. 

Entrance examination

The entrance examination is not required to enrol for a B.A. course in Nepal. However, you might be required to appear in entrance examinations held internally by different private institutions, irrespective of affiliated universities.

  • 3 PP size and 2 Auto size Photographs
  • Proof of date of birth (required 2 copies of either a valid passport or your citizenship)
