MICAT Eligibility Criteria 

To apply for the MBA entrance exam, candidates must meet specific eligibility criteria such as minimum education qualification, age limit, nationality, and other essential factors.

MICAT Exam Pattern

Marking Scheme

Each correct answer in the quantitative ability, verbal ability, divergent, convergent reasoning, and general awareness sections will earn candidates one mark. However, in these sections, 0.25 marks will be deducted as a negative mark for each incorrect answer.

In the Psychometric section and descriptive section, there is no negative marking for incorrect answers. However, it is mandatory to answer all questions in these sections. Failure to do so will result in disqualification.

Selection Process

• MICAT: The first stage of the admission process is the MICAT exam. It is a computer-based test that assesses the candidate's aptitude, analytical skills, creativity, communication skills, and general awareness. MICAT is conducted twice yearly, and candidates can appear for both exams. The best of the two scores is considered for the selection process.
• Group Exercise (GE): Candidates who qualify for the MICAT exam are shortlisted for the next stage, the Group Exercise. The group discussion round evaluates the candidate's communication skills, teamwork, leadership qualities, and problem-solving ability.
• Personal Interview (PI): Candidates who clear the Group Exercise round are called for the Personal Interview. A one-on-one interview round assesses the candidate's personality, communication skills, academic background, work experience, and other relevant factors.
• Final Selection: The final selection of candidates is based on their performance in the MICAT exam, Group Exercise, and Personal Interview. The weightage assigned to each component may vary from year to year.
