    Wrexham Glyndwr University is a public research university having campuses in Wrexham, Northop, and St Asaph in northeast Wales. It provides undergraduate and postgraduate degrees, as well as professional training. In 2019/20, the university had 6,045 students.

    It was provided full university status in 2008 after being a part of the University of Wales since 2004. It was previously known as the North East Wales Institute of Higher Education (NEWI). The institution is named after Owain Glyndwr, a medieval Welsh prince who proposed founding universities throughout Wales in the early 15th century.

    The Wall Recording Studio is operated by the university's School of Creative Arts on its Plas Coch campus, the former home of the Calon FM community radio station.

    Wrexham Village Hall, Snowdon Hall, and Student Village Hall are the three main halls on the university campus. The campus has all of the necessary facilities for students.

    They have a peaceful learning environment. The institution hosts annual festivities, sporting activities, fests, contests, inter-college talks, and quizzes on campus. There is also a student cafe and bar on campus.
