Testimonial

Victoria University was established in 1991, although its predecessor institutions date back to 1916. VU is one of just a few dual-sector institutions in Australia. It now has nearly 40,000 individuals enrolled in higher education, vocational education, and training on its campuses. As a dual-sector university, students may quickly go from vocational to postsecondary learning - from a certificate or diploma course to a bachelor's or even a doctoral certification through fieldwork or research.

VU has world-class research possibilities, with 28 research fields ranking at or above the global average in the most recent Excellence in Research for Australia (ERA) evaluations. Researchers create innovative technologies and tackle real-world challenges to help societies become wiser, happier, and more sustainable. Among the amenities are modern classroom spaces, simulation laboratories, robotics, high-performance testing, industry-supported facilities such as the Cisco cybersecurity centre and the SAP Next-Gen Lab, and cutting-edge technologies for vocational skill development.

Why choose Victoria University?

  • Courses with Industry Accreditation: Many of the programs are recognised by industry organisations, confirming the relevance of their courses and boosting our alumni' career success.
  • Workplace Learning and Development: Work-integrated learning (WIL) blends real-world professional experiences with academic theory and is graded. Work placements, client-led projects, industry-focused research, fieldwork, cadetships, apprenticeships, and simulations are among the WIL possibilities available.
  • Industry-Related Projects and Placements: An obligatory placement or industrial project is required for several VU courses. These hands-on learning experiences apply to various subjects, including business, engineering, health, and education. You will improve your employability by bringing classroom information to the industry, acquiring hands-on skills, and getting exposure to Australian workplace contexts through placements.
  • Small class sizes: You study in smaller groups and enjoy more one-on-one time with your teachers. Studying in one group at a time will assist you in adjusting to university life in Australia and forming stronger bonds with classmates and mentors. This will also help you acquire confidence in sharing thoughts and debating issues.

Over 4000 business partners work with the university to ensure that its courses are appropriate to industry demands and that graduates are job-ready. They give chances for students to get valuable industry experience through valuable work placements and assist in developing courses that include the most recent industry insights and technology. As a result, VU alumni have the most exemplary cooperative, team, interpersonal, and technical abilities in Victoria.
