Valley Krishi Campus is an agricultural campus situated in Godawari Municipality-11, Chapagaun, Bajrabarahi, Lalitpur, Province-03, Nepal. The programs offered at this are affiliated with Agriculture and Forestry University (AFU), Rampur, Chitwan.
The agricultural production process has become increasingly complex, necessitating modern scientific knowledge in research and its practical application. Agriculture modernization, commercialization, and sustainable agriculture will only be possible if a skilled workforce supports progress.
Valley Krishi Campus aims to fulfill the growing need for a technical workforce in the agricultural industry, both locally and nationally. Agriculture graduates are in high demand in the government sector, Nepal Agriculture Research Council (NARC), Teaching Institutes, Nurseries and vegetable farms, organized private sector industries, and other fields. Also, the campus is renowned for the commercial production of numerous agricultural products, including milk, vegetables, tea, coffee, fish, flowers, poultry, and mushrooms, among others. It is situated in the agricultural hub of southern Lalitpur. This could become a highly viable area for agro-tourism with proper organization and coordination at the organizational and village levels.
Furthermore, new opportunities for agriculture graduates are available at non-governmental organizations, research facilities, cooperatives, and private practices in and around the farming community. Our country's most serious problem is brain drain and labor migration. As a result, the production of technical manpower would attract youths to entrepreneurship, creating job opportunities within a country. The campus is optimistic about contributing to the national economy by producing technical manpower and providing opportunities for young people to engage in better livelihood and entrepreneurship.
