The University of Suffolk is a public university in the English counties of Suffolk and Norfolk. The modern university, known as University Campus Suffolk (UCS), was launched in 2007 as a unique collaboration between the University of East Anglia and the University of Essex. The current name of the institution was chosen when the Privy Council granted it independence and university status in 2016.

The University of Suffolk is situated across four campuses, with a major hub in Ipswich and other campuses focusing on foundation courses in Bury St Edmunds, Lowestoft, and Great Yarmouth (the latter in Norfolk, not Suffolk).

The institution has six academic faculties and 9,565 students in 2019/20. International students make up 8% of the student body, mature students make up 53%, and female students make up 66%.

In the WhatUni Student Choice Awards 2019, the university was ranked first for Courses and Lecturers.

Helen Pankhurst, the great-granddaughter of Emmeline Pankhurst and a Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE), is the current chancellor of the University of Suffolk.

Suffolk Institution is a historic four-year private university that attracts students from across the country and worldwide. With small class sizes and great career ties, it offers a nationally acclaimed curriculum that strongly emphasizes experience-based learning and developing leadership skills.

Suffolk University Law School, located in the center of Boston, provides undergraduate programs in over 70 areas of study, more than 50 graduate degree and certificate programs, and continuing education opportunities, as well as advanced LLM and SJD programs.

It also gives students the option of studying at the university's Madrid campus in Spain, as well as a variety of study-abroad programs, global travel seminars, and faculty-led study trips.

Suffolk students can access top Boston employers in finance, healthcare, biotechnology, start-up industries, government, and non-profit institutions through university ties. They can take internships at influential organizations to develop solid and valuable relationships with professional mentors and encourage employment following graduation.

Classroom courses are supplemented by experiential learning opportunities around the city to prepare graduates for success.

Students study on an urban campus with all academic buildings and residence halls within a ten-minute walking radius.

State-of-the-art classrooms and labs, an athletics complex and playing fields, revamped art studios and classrooms, and various other updated amenities enhance the student experience.
