The University for the Creative Arts is a southern English art and design university.

It was established in 2005 as the University College for the Creative Arts at Canterbury, Epsom, Farnham, Maidstone, and Rochester when the Kent Institute of Art and Design merged with the Surrey Institute of Art & Design, which already had degree-awarding status; both constituent schools were formed by combining local art schools in Kent and Surrey, respectively.

In 2008, it was awarded university status, and its name was changed to the current one. It was combined with the Open College of the Arts in 2016.

UCA thinks that creativity improves the vibrancy and innovation of global communities. As a result, the institution has been a dedicated supporter of creative education and research for the past 160 years, cultivating and nurturing that creative attitude in every student.
