The British College, founded in 2011, provides a world-class education for aspiring Nepalese students seeking internationally recognized diplomas from its two partner British Universities: The University of the West of England (UWE) and Leeds Beckett University (LBU).

The British College has successfully built a distinct reputation as Nepal's first global college, offering reputable UK degrees and programs relevant to the present job market and improving every student's employability.

We are also distinguished by our local-to-global approach to offering degrees and courses, which are staffed by teachers and administrative professionals from the United Kingdom and Nepal. The main intake for programs provided at The British College is under the affiliation of University of the West of England (UWE) and Leeds Beckett University (LBU). So, considering the academic session in Nepal the intake is held usually in September or in January.

The other scholarship schemes provided at the college are:

  2. Female Seat: 20% female seat Scholarship for tuition expenses in the first semester exclusively for BSc (Hons) computer courses, not for BBA programs.
  3. Outside the Valley: 20% off first semester tuition.

Application Process

Eligibility for Admission for Graduate programs:

Candidates interested in applying for admission to the graduate program at The British College should have completed at least 15 years of formal education (12 years of schooling plus three years of graduation). 

The applicant must also have a minimum CGPA of 2.0, or 45 percent, at the bachelor's level.

Documents required for graduate programs:

  • Application form, completed and signed.
  • Copies of all academic transcripts with attestations and character certificates (SLC/SEE onwards).
  • Original Migration Certificate of Bachelor's degree (If any academic degree from a foreign university, a copy of the equivalent certificate).
  • Copy of citizenship with attestation.
  • Recent passport-size photos in two copies.

Eligibility for Admission for Undergraduate programs:

Candidates for admission to The British College’s undergraduate programs must have completed 12 years of formal education or 10+2 or equivalent exams with a minimum of 40% overall or a 2 CGPA (with at least D+ in a particular subject).

They must also have to qualify The British College’s admission test exam.

Documents required for undergraduate programs:

  • Two current PP-sized pictures. 
  • Equivalency, transfer, and character certificates of SEE/SLC and 10+2.
  • Grade sheet of CMAT entrance examination conducted by the college for BBA (Hons) Business and Management program.

Eligibility for Admission for A Levels programs:

Students who have completed the SEE/GCSE/CBSE or comparable exams at the time of enrollment are eligible to apply. 

The key criterion is solid intellectual competence to complete the rigours of this demanding curriculum. British Model College selects a highly motivated group of students to attend the program using a sophisticated evaluation system.
