    St. Xavier's College is a private, Jesuit, co-educational secondary and higher educational institution located in Kathmandu, Nepal, run by the Nepal Region of the Society of Jesus.

    St.Xavier's College was founded in 1988 AD by the Jesuits. The Jesuits started their educational work in Nepal with the establishment of St. Xavier's School in Godavari in 1951, followed by St. Xavier's School in Jawalakhel, St. Xavier's School in Deonia, Moran Memorial School in Maheshpur, and St. Xavier's School in Sadakbari.

    St. Xavier's College has 13 different programs. IThe college offers A-level Non-Science and Science courses through Cambridge Assessment International Education, as well as a Ten Plus Two (10+2) Science program through the National Examination Board (NEB). At the Bachelor level, SXC offers B.Sc in Physics, B.Sc in Microbiology, B.Sc. CSIT, Bachelor of Information Management (BIM), Bachelor of Arts (Majoring in Social Work and English), and Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS). programs at the Bachelor level, with affiliation from Tribhuvan University. It also offers a Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program through Kathmandu University. Under Tribhuvan University, it also offers Masters programs in Microbiology (M.Sc Microbiology), Physics (M.Sc Physics), and Business Studies (MBS).

    Application Process

    Eligibility for Admission in Graduate Programs:

    Master of Business Studies (MBS) program:

    The applicant must have a strong academic record in any Bachelor Degree program approved by Tribhuvan University.

    Master of Science in Physics (M.Sc) program:

    The applicant must have a 3 or 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Physics from a recognized university, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 50%.

    Master of Science in microbiology (M.Sc Microbiology) program:

    The applicant must have a 3 or 4-year Bachelor's Degree in Microbiology from a recognized university, with a minimum grade point average of 50%.

    In addition, all students must pass the Tribhuvan University entrance examination.

    Documents Required:

    • Transcript and individual mark sheet of 11th, 12th, and SEE/SLC bachelors level.
    • Character certificate of 10+2 and Bachelor.
    • Provisional and migration certificate of bachelor's. 
    • 3 pp sized photographs and citizenship certificate.

    Eligibility for Admission in undergraduate Programs:

    Physics Bachelor of Science:

    Students must have completed 10+2/A Level or equivalent (with Maths) from a recognized board or university.

    The candidate should have received at least a Grade C/ Second Division.

    Microbiology Bachelor of Science:

    Students must have completed 10+2/A Level (with Biology as one of the  major subject) or an equivalent exam from a recognized board or university.

    CSIT B.Sc. Program:

    Students should have done well in the Tribhuvan University entrance exam and the St. Xavier's College entrance evaluation.

    Bachelor's Degree in Information Management:

    A minimum grade of "D+" in all 11 and 12 subjects, or a minimum score of 2nd division marks in 10+2, PCL, or equivalent in any discipline, as well as a CGPA of 1.8 or above.

    Documents required:

    • Transcript and individual mark sheet of 11th, 12th, and SEE/SLC.
    • Character certificate of SEE/SLC and 12th grade.
    • Provisional and migration certificate of SEE/SLC and 12th-grade. 

    Eligibility for Admission in A-levels Programs:

    Candidates must have passed SEE or an equivalent examination from a recognized board.

    Eligibility for Admission in 10+2 Science Program:

    Candidates must have passed SEE/SLC with minimum of 'A' in Science, Compulsory Mathematics, Optional Mathematics, English, and 'B+' in all other subjects.

    Documents Required:

    • Transcript and individual mark sheet of SEE/SLC level.
    • Character certificate given by former school.
    • Migration certificate of SEE/SLC.
    • 3 pp sized photographs.
    • Entrance admit card.
