St Mary's Institution, Twickenham, is a public university in Strawberry Hill, Twickenham, South West London, dedicated to the Catholic Church's higher education mission. Founded in 1850 as a Catholic schoolmaster training institution, it became a constituent college of the University of London Institute of Education in 1949.

This relationship dissolved in 1976, after which the University of Surrey validated its degree programs. The Privy Council granted full university status to St Mary's University College on January 23, 2014. Since July 2019, the university has been home to the Mater Ecclesiae College, whose Ecclesiastical faculties have been housed at the "Bellarmine Institute" since 2013, following the closing of Heythrop College at the University of London.
