    The Delhi Sikh Gurudwara Management Committee (DSGMC), a statutory organisation created by an act of the Indian Parliament, maintains Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Khalsa Institution, a constituent university college of Delhi, which was founded in 1951. When the college first opened, its main goals were to guarantee that everyone had access to a high-quality education, especially young Punjabi refugees from the 1947 Partition, and to preserve and promote the Punjabi language, culture, and legacy.

    The Ninth Guru, Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur, gave his life to maintain secular ideas, and the college bears his name. It is a dynamic institution with a cosmopolitan atmosphere.

    The College has established a distinct identity and is regarded as one of the top universities. There are now 44 programs available, including 18 undergraduate programs and 2 B.Tech. Agenda, 12 postgraduate programs, one postgraduate diploma, 2 undergraduate diplomas, and 9 certificate courses. 3,768 students are enrolled in these programs for the current academic year, 2015–16, and there are 140 full-time instructors, 101 are permanent, and 7 are on leave or liens. 57 instructors took part in various staff-development programs during the past four years.

    The College follows the University of Delhi's curricula, and its staff members contribute to formulating curricula at both the University and UGC levels. The University's entrance requirements for various courses are adhered to, and the College's student body is diversified with solid representation from most societal groups. The teaching-learning process is expanded and made more effective by teachers' extensive expertise and students' access to current materials. To ensure that it meets the programs' learning objectives and gives students the most significant possible motivation and experience, the process is watched over by the Departmental Monitoring team, the Academic Affairs Committee of the College, and the Principal. When it comes to internal assessments and ongoing evaluations, the College adheres to university standards while also enhancing these for local adaptations as required by the effort and participation of teachers and students.

    Scholarships

    Scholarships are given by the institution to qualified and needy students. These scholarships are supported by donations from the college's alumni, professors, and governing bodies. For merit-based, means-based, and means-based scholarships, about 200 students are chosen annually. The College presents Special Awards and Scholarships in different events held each year on College's Annual Day.
