Siddhartha Gautam Buddha Campus was founded to give children from marginalized, underprivileged, and educationally underprivileged classes of society access to high-quality education. However, it has since begun to serve the needs of various social classes.

Siddhartha Gautam Buddha Campus upgraded faculties to Bachelor's Degree (Education and Management) and Master's Degree (Education and Management) in 2062 BS and 2067 BS, respectively, in response to the overwhelmingly high demand of the society. The campus has received a letter of intent (LOI) to participate in the UGC's Higher Education Reform Project (HERP) by submitting a self-study report (SSR) on 11 Magh 2071 BS. On March 20th, 2072, BS, SGBC, and UGC signed an MOU. Different committees were established to prepare the SSR report after receiving the Letter of Intent (LOI). The report was duly submitted to the UGC's QAA division on 21 Bhadra 2074 BS. The campus was then visited by a pre-visit team led by Prof. Dr. Panna Thapa from Chaitra 2074 BS to 21. The team identified problems on campus and suggested remedial measures to raise the standard of the campus as a whole. Now that the campus has addressed the issues raised by the Pre-visit team, PRT is being awaited.

Siddhartha Gautam Buddha Campus (SGBC) was founded under the guiding principle of "cost recovery and quality education." The campus was established to give students from the community's disadvantaged, underprivileged, and socially marginalized classes a quality education. It was founded by permanent lecturers of Butwal Multiple Campus, educators, and well-known local community members.
