Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) was founded in 1951 AD as  Nepal National College, temporarily housed at Durbar High School before moving to Tri-Chandra College in Kathmandu. In 1973 A.D., its name was changed, following the government policy of incorporating it into Tribhuvan University and recognising Professor Shanker Dev Pant's contributions, primarily motivated by his missionary zeal, towards purchasing a site and constructing a building for the campus.

Shanker Dev Campus is one of Tribhuvan University's main affiliated campuses, and it is entirely credited with its bachelor's and master's degree programs in business studies. Its early days in management professional expertise, quality education, and discipline are known and distinguished. Shanker Dev Campus has established itself as a premier business school campus. Management and business students who graduate from SDC account for approximately 25% of all MBS students in Nepal. Because of this fact and the outstanding quality education provided by Shanker Dev, enrollment rates far exceed capacity each year.

Scholarships

According to the Faculty of Management (FOM) policy, 10% of TU students, will receive a scholarship through the Shanker Dev Campus (SDC).

Preference will be given to students who have completed their SLC and +2 from government schools. However, this will not affect the admissions process. There is no admission quota in place.

Application Process

Eligibility criteria for admission in undergraduate programs:

Students must pass the CMAT exam. Then they must complete the admission form for the campus. The campus will conduct interviews with the students for further selection procedures.

60% on the CMAT, 30% Marks on 10+2 and 10% of the grade will be based on the interview.

Students must have a GPA of 2.41 and a C+ or higher in all subjects in the grading system, or first-division marks, to apply to Shanker Dev Campus (SDC).

Documents required:

• Transcript and individual mark sheet of 10+2.
• Character, Provisional, and Migration certificate of SEE/SLC and 12th grade.
• Transcript of SEE/SLC.

Eligibility criteria for admission in graduate programs:

Candidates for the Shanker Dev Campus (SDC) graduates' program must have completed at least 15 years of formal education (12 years of schooling plus three years of graduation).

The applicant must also have a minimum CGPA of 2.0 or 45 per cent at the bachelor's level.

Documents required:

• All academic transcripts with attestations and character certificates (copy) (SLC onwards).
• Original Bachelor's Degree Migration Certificate (If any academic degree from a foreign university, a copy of the equivalent certificate).
• Copy of citizenship certificate with authentication.
• Two copies of recent passport-size photos.
