Admission procedure for Bachelor of Nursing (BN):
- The applicant must have achieved a Proficiency Certificate in Nursing or 12 years of schooling with 10 + 2 in Science from a reputable institution with a minimum cumulative grade point average of 50%.
- The candidate must have at least a year of nursing practice experience after registering with the Nepal Nursing Council.
- The Institute of Medicine selects students for the program based on the merit list of the entrance exams and open house counseling.
Admission procedure for Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) in Nursing:
- 10+2 class passed with Science & English Core with an aggregate of 45% marks from recognized board under TU/PU or other equivalent Board.
- Student shall be medically fit.
- Students appearing in the 10+2 examination in Science conducted by National Education Boards (NEB) with 45% marks.
Admission procedure for MN in Adult Nursing / Paediatric Nursing / Women's Health and Development:
- RN, BSN, BSN in nursing, or B.Midwifery (B. Mid is eligible only for the M.Sc. Midwifery program).

- Applicants should be registered with the Nepal Nursing Council.
- Applicant must pass the Medical Education Commission's entrance exams with a minimum score of 50% (pass marks).
