    Established on: 1987

    Pashchimanchal Campus is one of Nepal's four component campuses, Tribhuvan University, Institute of Engineering. It was formerly known as the Western Region Campus (WRC).

    The Pashchimanchal campus is located in Lamachur, a stunning area of northern Pokhara. The Campus enjoys the heavenly view of Machhapuchchhre and many other mountains in the Annapurna range and the neighboring Seti River's constant roaring sound. It began operating in 1987 A.D, with help from the World Bank, UNDP, and ILO.

    Pashchimanchal Campus initially offered technical training and diploma degrees. However,  since 2069 B.S, the college began providing five master's level MSc programs in Communication and Knowledge Engineering, Electrical Engineering in Distributed Generation, Infrastructure Engineering and Management, Rock and Tunnel Engineering, and Geomatics Engineering. The college also began offering seven bachelor's level programs in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Communication & Information, Mechanical, Computer, and Geomatics Engineering. The university management has planned and is implementing a master's level mechanical and automotive engineering program beginning in the next academic year, 2021.

    Pashchimanchal Campus is a very well-known engineering institute in Pokhara. Students have gathered here to learn technology and further their education across Nepal. It is a part of the Institute of Engineering, TU, whose products have consistently become the toppers in their higher studies at different educational institutions; for this, it has domestic and international recognition.

    Pashchimanchal Campus provides unique features of well-ventilated and well-furnished classrooms with the most up-to-date teaching tools, a first-rate library, hostel and mess, health care, transportation, auditorium, halls, and cafeteria, sports facilities including a football or cricket field, volleyball courts, basketball courts, and badminton courts, and frequent excursions, tours, and field activities to improve the practical knowledge.

    Application Process

    Eligibility Criteria for Bachelors program:

    • Candidate must achieve a minimum of 45% in the science subjects of the +2 or A level or engineering diploma, or an equivalent, with two papers in physics, chemistry, and math (200 Marks).
    • Candidate must have received a better rank on the IOE entrance test since admission is given based on merit.
    • Candidates who took the +2 Science final exam or an equivalent test may apply.

    Documents required:

    1. A certificate of passing the IOE Entrance Exam.
    2. Admit Card for the IOE Entrance Exam.
    3. A duplicate of citizenship document.
    4. Two passport-size photos.
    5. A copy of the transcript and an SLC/ SEE report card.
    6. A copy of SLC/ SEE and  +2 college's character certificate.
    7. A copy of the HSEB/NEB provisional and migration certificate.

    Eligibility Criteria for Masters program:

    The candidate should score at least a second division on their bachelor's degree in the applicable fields.

    Documents required:

    1. A certificate of passing the Entrance Exam.
    2. Entrance Exam Admit card.
    3. A duplicate of the citizenship document or passport.
    4. Two PP-sized photographs.
    5. A copy of the bachelor's and 10+2 transcripts.
    6. A copy of the bachelor's and 10  +2 character certificates.
    7. A copy of SLC/ SEE transcripts and characters.
