    Paklihawa Campus is one of the four campuses that constitute Tribhuvan University's Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science. Tribhuvan University established the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science to provide instruction in agriculture, animal sciences, and veterinary sciences. Paklihawa campus is one of the four campuses that make up Tribhuvan University's Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science (IAAS).

    The Paklihawa campus is situated in the southern portion of Siddharthanagar municipality's Rupendehi District. It was founded in 2035 B.S. on land that the British Camp had donated.

    Paklihawa Campus offered a junior technician non-academic program from 1978 to 1984 during its early years. From 1999 until 2012, a B.Sc.Ag. program in two years (four semesters) was offered. The B.Sc.Ag. program was launched in its entirety in 2068 B.S.

    Similarly, the B.Vsc and AH programs have been running since 2012 (2069/70). It is the only government institution in Province No. 5 that offers higher technical training in veterinary medicine and agriculture.

    Paklihawa Campus covers 31 hectares in total. About 19 Ha is used for farming and research (vegetable farm, agronomy farm, research field livestock farm, pasture land, ornamental nurseries, orchard). Administrative and residential structures take up a 12 Ha area. There is 95 structures total, including office, educational, laboratory, staff, lodging, guest house, and cattle facilities.

    The main physical assets on the Paklihawa Campus include the separate dormitories for boys and girls, the veterinary teaching hospital, the labs, the farms, the seminar hall, the classroom buildings, the hostels, the bus, and the veterinary ambulance.

    Additionally, excellent faculty members of  6 professors, four associate professors, 26 assistant professors, and 59 non-teaching staff are directly committed to discovering and nurturing students' hidden abilities to produce the most brilliant and competent human resources.

    Paklihawa Campus also has a facility where horticultural commodities grown by college students as part of projects and practical classes are collected and sold.

    Paklihawa Campus's goals are to advance agricultural science and prepare people for careers in agriculture via teaching, research, and extension. The institute's primary goals are to develop and enforce educational programs that appropriately balance the needs of the agricultural sector established and emerging markets, introduce novel approaches to teaching, research, and technology dissemination, and promote studies and research that address the needs of the nation's farmers. The institute has successfully developed its human resource base to demonstrate its academic superiority.

    Paklihawa Campus has been upgraded to better address the nation's agriculture sector's urgent requirements and goals. The new curriculum reorganization includes information that will help students strengthen their operational agricultural skills and increase production.

    25% of the Paklihawa Campus's excellent undergraduate students are eligible for a stipend of NRs. 200 per month for an utmost of 10 months.

    Application Process

    Eligibility for BSc Agriculture or Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry:

    • Students may apply for this BSc Agriculture or Bachelor of Veterinary Science and Animal Husbandry if they have successfully finished an intermediate science program (10 + 2 Science), I.Sc., or I.Sc.Ag. with at least a 50% grade (BVSc&AH).
    • Admission is determined by the applicants' performance in the Tribhuwan University entrance test.

    Documents required:

    • Three passport-size photos.
    • Original certificate of citizenship for Nepal.
    • Character Certificate with original transcript, SLC/SEE.
    • Original Transcript and Higher Secondary Character Certificate, 10+2.
    • 10+2 or Higher Secondary Level certificates, degree certificates, or temporary certificates.
    • Certificate of Equivalence (If other than Nepal Board).
    • The original quota verification letter or certificate (as indicated) applies to applicants seeking admission under a certain quota.
