    Nepal Academy of Tourism & Hotel Management has been providing education in Nepalese tourism and hotel management for over four decades. It is located in Kuleshwor, Kathmandu.

    NATHM, or the Nepal Academy of Tourism and Hotel Management, since its founding in 1972, has played a crucial role in developing human resources and raising the bar for the quality of tourism and hospitality services by offering craft and supervisory level skill-oriented training to meet industry demands. In affiliation with Tribhuvan University, NATHM created a two-year Master of Hospitality Management (MHM) program in 201, a Bachelor of Hotel Management (BHM) program in 1999, and a Bachelor of Travel and Tourism Management (BTTM) degree in 2003  to generate senior level human resources.

    NATHM has been offering craft-level and supervisory-level skill-oriented training to meet the demands of the hospitality and tourism industries. This innovative school is famous for producing competent workers to meet the ever-expanding needs of the hospitality and tourism sector.

    Nepal Association of Tour and Travel Agents, Ministry of Finance, Trekking Agents Association of Nepal, National Planning Commission, and Department of Labor and Employment Promotion are all represented on the Academy's Board of Directors, which is led by the Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation. Aside from that, the government and donor organizations strongly encourage it.

    Some essential physical facilities to support the ongoing activities at NATHM include training kitchens, bakeries, restaurants, bars, hotels, coffee shops, seminar halls, multipurpose rooms, computer laboratories, food science labs, audio-visual rooms, libraries, e-libraries, buses (coach for field trips), and sports facilities like basketball, volleyball, and badminton courts.

    Eligibility Criteria for MHM: 

    Candidates must have earned a BHM or BTTM with a minimum second division (CGPA of 2.0 or Letter Grade of "C") or a Bachelor's degree in any subject with a minimum second division and two years of work experience in the hotel sector, to be eligible for the MHM program. The candidates must have taken English as a required subject in high school.

    MHM admissions process:

    Two rounds of admission examinations are used to examine students interested in joining MHM. Interested applicants should show up for the preliminary round of Tribhuvan University's CMAT test. To sit in this test, candidates must complete an application and submit the required documentation, which includes:

    • All previous degrees' mark sheets and certificates of good character.
    • Transcript, character certificate, migration certificate, and certificate of comparable value.
    • Two most current passport-size images.

    Eligibility Criteria for BHM:

    Candidates must have at least a "D+" grade in each topic in grades 11 and 12, as well as a minimum CGPA of 1.8, the second division in the 10+2 academic year, or equivalent qualification in any field. The candidates must have taken English as a required subject in high school. 

    Eligibility Criteria for BTTM:

    Candidates must have at least a "D+" grade in each topic in grades 11 and 12, as well as a minimum CGPA of 1.8, the second division in the 10+2 academic year, or equivalent qualification in any field. The candidates must have taken English as a required subject in high school.

    BTTM and BBM admissions process:

    Two rounds of admission examinations are used to examine students interested in joining BHM. Interested applicants should show up for the preliminary round of Tribhuvan University's CMAT test. To sit in this test, candidates must complete an application and submit the required documentation, which includes:

    • SLC/SEE mark sheet and character reference.
    • Transcript, character certification, and migration 10+2 certificate.
    • Two most current passport-size images.
