    MacEwan University is a publicly designated undergraduate university in downtown Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. Founded in 1971, MacEwan University provides student-focused instruction in a warm and supportive atmosphere. 

    The institution offers over 65 programs and promotes transformational education in a collaborative and supportive learning environment. At the same time, providing a base for  Creativity to thrive when students, professors, and the community are involved in research and invention.

    Dr. J. W. Grant MacEwan, an author, educator, and former Lieutenant Governor of Alberta, was honored with the establishment's name. The Alberta government founded the institution.

    MacEwan was formerly a two-year college; however, in 2009, it was accredited and became Alberta's sixth university. The institution has ten bachelor's degrees, one applied degree, and 43 diploma and certificate programs.

    Liberal arts and sciences, health and community studies, arts and communications,  engineering, physical education, nursing, and business programs are available through MacEwan's four colleges and two schools.

    Furthermore, MacEwan University is Alberta's largest transfer-in post-secondary institution. The institution was granted permission to offer university transfer credit in 1988. MacEwan became a recognized degree-granting university in 2004, awarding its first baccalaureate degrees.

    On September 24, 2009, the school was renamed Grant MacEwan University and became Alberta's sixth university. In September 2013, the institution changed its name to "MacEwan University."

    President’s Scholarship

    • A student with a score of 95-100% or an AGPA higher than 3.99 will qualify for $12,000 – $14,000

    Provost’s Scholarship

    • Should you have a score between 90-94.99% or an AGPA of 3.90 – 3.99 you will be eligible for $10,000 – $12,000

    Dean’s Scholarship 1

    • Should you have a score of 85-89.99% or an AGPA of 3.70 – 3.89 you will qualify for $8,000 – $10,000

    Dean’s Scholarship 2

    • Should you have a score of 80-84.99% or an AGPA of 3.50-3.69 you will qualify for $6,000 – $8,000
