Loyalist college

    Loyalist college
    Established on: 1967

Loyalist College, located in Belleville on the eastern bank of Lake Ontario, is one of Canada's most active and diversified public-funded post-secondary education facilities, offering a wide range of career-oriented, English-language programs and a first-rate learning environment.

The college, founded in 1967, is an applied arts and technology school with a fifty-year educational history. It supports students by providing exceptional academic and recreational facilities and a fantastic range of student support services.

Loyalist College enrolls around 3,000 full-time students each year and provides several recognized post-secondary courses at various levels of study.

The 200-acre campus of the institution is beautifully groomed, with contemporary buildings and plenty of open space.

Loyalist College has significant roots in the local and regional economy, creating around 6,000 employment and introducing over 1,000 new graduates to the workforce each year, many of whom choose to work and live locally after finishing their degrees.

The college has a worldwide perspective and is connected to academic and professional communities on a national and international scale.

College In-class programs are designed to prepare you for the workforce via hands-on learning conducted by industry professionals in small classrooms and associated field assignments. Loyalistfocus.com also offers hundreds of online and distant courses.

These courses, designed with the same outcome-based philosophy as daytime programs, let you work toward various certifications at your speed and time.

Before the 1960s, only trade schools coexisted with universities at the post-secondary level in the province of Ontario, most of which had been created mainly to help veterans reintegrate into society in the post-war years.

Loyalist College was established in 1967 as part of a provincial push to develop several similar institutions to deliver career-oriented diploma and certificate courses and continuing education programs to towns around Ontario.

The college's name refers to the area's historical establishment by United Empire Loyalists.

Loyalist College began operations at a nearby high school before relocating to its 200-acre (81 ha) site on Wallbridge-Loyalist Road in 1968. The institution has a satellite campus in Bancroft, Ontario, and is affiliated with the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory reserve's First Nations Technical Institute.

    Why Loyalist college?

Loyalist College takes pleasure in providing personal and courteous attention to all its students. Because the College is tiny, instructors and staff members get to know each student, monitor their progress, and give assistance as required.

Belleville is a lovely little town that can quickly get around by automobile or public transportation. The cost of living is significantly lower than in a more significant metropolis.

The semi-rural campus offers a genuine Canadian cultural experience and is an excellent location to adapt to a new culture and improve students' English abilities.
