    Kingston University London is a public research university in South West London, England, situated inside the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames. The origins of the university can be traced back to the Kingston Technical Institute, which was formed in 1899. It was previously known as Kingston Polytechnic before receiving university status in 1992.

    Kingston has around 17,000 students and revenue of £192 million. It operates four campuses in Kingston and Roehampton. The institution's specialties are the arts, design, science, engineering, fashion, and business.

    It is divided into four faculties: Kingston School of Art, Kingston School of Social Sciences and Business (which includes Kingston Business School and the School of Social, Law, and Behavioural Sciences), Health, Science, Social Care, and Education, and Engineering, Computing, and the Environment. Kingston Business School offers CNAA MBA degrees.

    The institution received The Guardian University Award for teaching quality in 2017. Kingston University is a member of the European University Association, the Association of Commonwealth Universities, and the University Alliance coalition.

    The University has been in The Guardian's top 50 universities in the United Kingdom for the last three years.

    Kingston was rated first in London for fashion, textiles, nursing, and midwifery in the most current release and second nationwide in five categories.

    Kingston started its Future Skills campaign in June 2021, emphasizing the importance of skills for innovation and their critical role in developing a thriving UK economy.

    The findings of their 2021 and 2022 surveys, which were conducted with the assistance of YouGov and sampled over 2,000 businesses and 1,000 students, revealed that critical skills such as problem-solving, critical thinking, adaptability, communication, and creativity remain the most important skills most valued by employers.
