    Kathmandu Engineering College
    Established on: 1998

A Tribhuvan University (TU) accredited private college called Kathmandu Engineering College is situated in Kalimati, Kathmandu. The institution was founded in 1998 and was the first to receive an ISO 9001:2008 certification in Nepal. It is run by a group of outstanding board members and is independent in terms of administration, hiring of faculty and staff, and college development. Since its establishment, the college has been advancing toward strength.

The KEC campus contains all the amenities necessary to create a healthy academic environment and spreads over 30 businesses throughout the property the institution leases and owns in Kalimati, Mulpani, Jay Bageshwori, and Sukedhara. One of the college's standout qualities is how easily it can be reached by public transportation anytime. Additionally, the college provides parking for two- and four-wheelers and transportation services. The KEC campus comprises well-organized departments, a well-stocked library, a centre for student amenities, a multipurpose hall, an administration building, specific labs, and neat walking routes and lawns.

At Kathmandu Engineering College, academic knowledge is combined with equal parts of freedom and effort.

Instead of merely teaching and studying, we intensely focus on fostering comprehension. Our goal is to teach our kids the value of speaking, listening, and watching. Architecture, Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering are just a few of the Bachelor's degree programs offered by KEC that emphasise practical and theoretical engineering studies.

KEC aims to deliver high-quality instruction in a first-rate teaching and learning environment, focusing on various technologies. Our organisation's primary goals include strengthening our professors, enhancing our facilities, and seeing to it that the founders' original vision for the school is realised.

The objective is to meet social requirements; the means are knowledge, and the driving force is a learning-centred environment.

    • Maintaining a Bachelor-level curriculum emphasising advanced technical skills, lab space, communication skills, and cooperation across disciplines.
    • Facilities that follow the finest engineering standards.
    • With an emphasis on rigorous evaluation, encouraging and recognising innovation, technology advancements, and quality in education.
    • Encouraging contact between academics, students, and working professionals and encouraging a culture within the faculty that is centred on scholarship and research.
    • Future planning is strategic.

On January 1, 2013, the Office of KEC Research and Publications (OKRP) was established with the assistance of motivated staff. The OKRP's primary goal is to promote research and writing among KEC's staff and students. A Research Advisor, many Research Coordinators, and Editors make up the office.

It aims to explore evidence-based teaching approaches through research, presentations, seminars, and ongoing production of research publications. The "KEC Publication of Science and Engineering" (KJSE), the office's first official journal, was released on July 6, 2013. The faculty from the Department of Electronics and Communications Engineering, the Department of Computer Engineering, and the Department of Electrical Engineering have collaborated to create this publication. For the benefit of academics, the journal's main goal is to assist the expansion, continued growth, and dissemination of information in the fields of science and engineering. Additionally, it has the function of promoting and implementing R&D-based businesses (R & D).
