Jacobs University (abbreviated JU Bremen or JUB) is a private international research university in Vegesack, Bremen, Germany.

Jacobs University offers undergraduate, master's, and doctoral graduate degrees in engineering, humanities, natural, and social sciences. In addition, Jacobs University International College is a preparatory program in collaboration with the Oxford International Education Group.

Jacobs University Bremen (formerly known as International University Bremen) was established in 1999 with the assistance of the University of Bremen, Rice University in Houston, Texas, and the Free Hanseatic City of Bremen, with study programs beginning in 2001.

Jacobs University is located in Bremen-Grohn on the site of the former Roland Barracks. During the National Socialist period, the area was built in 1938. Following World War II, the International Refugee Organization transformed it into Camp Grohn, a displaced-persons camp managed by American forces.

The majority of university instruction is given in English. Students at Jacobs University come from more than 110 countries, with approximately 80% international students and about 33% international faculty members.

Scholarships
