IOE, Pashchimanchal Campus

    IOE, Pashchimanchal Campus

The first technical school in Nepal was founded in 1930 and is called the Institute of Engineering (IOE). It was reorganized into its current form as a Tribhuvan University organ in 1972. IOE offers undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs and professional degrees. In the nation, the institution has ten associated campuses and four component campuses. It has five campuses: Chitwan Engineering Nepal, Purwanchal Campus, Pashchimanchal Campus, and Thapathali Campus.

One of the four campuses that make up Tribhuvan University's Institute of Engineering in Nepal is the Pashchimanchal Campus, originally known as the Western Region Campus (WRC). With help from the World Bank and UNDP/ILO, the Pashchimanchal campus started operating in 1987.

At first, the campus also provided technical courses and diploma programs. The Tribhuvan University Institute of Engineering phased out the diploma stream, and as a result, enrolment in this stream ceased after the 2069 BS. It now provides engineering courses in six areas at the undergraduate level, while at the graduate level, it offers courses in three fields.
