The college from 2009 to 2001 was known as IBAT College Swords. The Dublin City Campus was formed at Wellington Quay in the summer of 2011 after IBAT had invested over €1 million in renovations. GUS (Global University Systems) purchased a majority interest in IBAT College Dublin in October 2016. At the time of the acquisition, a QQI evaluation was underway after re-engaging with QQI in 2018 AD. As their English Language School evolved, IBAT extended its physical footprint by leasing two floors at 60-63 Dawson Street in December 2016. The college now enrols 1,500 students from 45 different nations.

IBAT College Dublin provides a part-time MBA and a full-time Bachelor of Arts (Honors) in business, accredited by Quality and Qualifications Ireland (validated by the University of Wales Trinity Saint David). IBAT College Dublin has 4 IT labs that are well-equipped and feature a variety of specialized applications for courses like desktop publishing, programming, and data analytics. Libraries and other learning resources are also available on the campuses. Through Material Literary Workshops, the on-site librarians assist students in developing skills like avoiding plagiarism, analyzing information, appropriately citing, etc. For students to unwind and spend time, both campuses provide a variety of canteens and breakout spaces. According to reports, the college served students from countries other than Ireland. Most IBAT College Dublin's students have come from countries outside the European Economic Area.

In addition, IBAT College Dublin constructed facilities like the Media Cube for business endeavours. The campus is growing to accommodate more departments and students. Several sports and social groups are among the numerous clubs and organizations that call the campus home. Additionally accessible are a library, computer labs, and outdoor AstroTurf grounds. Women in Tech Scholarship

IBAT College Dublin provides a 25% scholarship to all female students in ICT courses in desktop publishing and graphic design, data analytics, cyber and digital security, and programming and development.

Only 18.9% of ICT experts in Ireland in 2017 were female, which, while higher than the EU average (16.1%), leaves much to be desired. The critical issue facing Ireland's technology sector in 2021 is the requirement for an equal representation of women.
