    George Mason University, often known as Mason, George Mason, or GMU, is a public research university in the Washington, D.C., metropolitan area in Fairfax County, Virginia.

    The University of Virginia'sVirginia's Northern Virginia campus began providing engineering and liberal arts courses in 1957 when the institution'sinstitution's legal history officially began as University College. Last, the University of Virginia Board of Visitors proposed splitting the college from its parent organisation in 1972. George Mason University was subsequently founded on April 7, 1972. With more than 39,000 enrollees, it is the most prominent public research university.

    George Mason University has four campuses. It has nine universities and schools and over 677 forested acres. The city of Fairfax is home to Mason'sMason's main campus. At least 6,200 students reside on campus at George Mason University while discussing student life. Most undergraduate students live on the Fairfax campus, which houses the Center for the Arts, Eaglebank Arena, Aquatics and Fitness Center, and Recreation and Athletic complex. There are more than 500 student groups on campus. Additionally, it organises several events each year.

    Application Process

    Freshman Applicants

    • Official High School Transcript: For candidates still in high school, an official transcript up to their junior year must be delivered to the address shown below. Some students might need to submit their grades from their senior year.
    • SATs not Required: If a student chooses to submit SAT I or ACT results, they may do so from their high school transcript or by requesting an official copy from the testing organisation. 
    • A letter of recommendation is not required.

    Transfer Students 

    Official College Transcript(s): Students must present official transcripts for all the attempted college work (A.P., I.B., and CLEP credits are not considered part of the 24 credits). If not, the graduation transcript or GED score report (photocopies will not be accepted).

    International Applicants

    • Official Secondary and College Transcripts: Official secondary school transcript(s) and, if possible, an official transcript of the current grades and an English translation of the document(s).
    • English Proficiency: Applicants should show evidence of English language competence.
    • It is filled and signed the Affidavit of Support form.
    • CV and Letters of recommendation may or may not be required.
