    Gandaki Medical College Teaching Hospital and Research Centre (GMC) is a health education facility in the Kaski district of Nepal's Gandaki Province. It addresses a key priority sector in medical education and health care. The initiative was created on its land and is solely owned by Nepalese citizens. The institution holds around 204 ropanis of land, which meets the requirements of Tribhuwan University, which is associated with the university and professional councils.

    The infrastructure is set up by the Ministry of Health and Population's "Guidelines and Infrastructure Directions for the Establishment and Operation of Private and Non-Governmental Health Institutions." The college has awarded scholarships to 10% of the overall student enrollment. The Nepal Government selects students for scholarships based on their performance in the entrance exams. This College currently has over 600 students enrolled. This comprises the following degrees: MBBS, BDS, BSc, MIT, BMLT, and BSc. Nursing, BN, BPH, and BPharma. Around 40 students are pursuing PG (Post Graduate) degrees in various fields.

    • Free health camps are being held in partnership with several institutions in Gandaki Province.
    • Programs to raise awareness about infectious and noncommunicable illnesses.
    • During natural catastrophes, emergency care is provided.
    • Tuberculosis patients in the hospital get directly observed therapy and short-course (DOTS).
    • Students' Welfare Fund for Underprivileged Patients
    • Safe Motherhood works in conjunction with the Government of Nepal Blood Bank in the hospital.
    • Health insurance scheme in conjunction with the Nepalese government.
    • Dialysis service is provided in conjunction with the Nepalese government.
    • With a referral from the local government/government officials, impoverished patients and minorities receive free care.
    • In conjunction with the Nepalese government, we treat severe conditions such as cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, head injury, and Parkinson's disease.
    • Registration for the Outpatient Department is free once a month throughout the year.
    • Health Science research is conducted in all medical domains. The study has aided the community and health authorities in making decisions.

    • MBBS/BDS: Cleared 10+2 Science or equivalent (with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) with 50% aggregate total marks or CGPA 2.4 OR Obtained the Percentage equivalent to the above qualifications in regards to certificate level programs (A-Level) with different grading systems OR Candidates who have managed to pass the Health Science Proficiency Certificate Level/Diploma (General Medicine, Medical Lab Technology, Ophthalmic Science, Dental Science, Pharmacy, Ayurveda, Radiography, Physiotherapy.
    • MD: The applicant must be registered with NMC on a permanent or provincial basis. Alternatively, the candidate must be registered with the relevant country's Medical Council. A year of experience is required.
