    Douglas College is British Columbia's largest public degree-granting college institution. There are around 17,000 credit students, 8,500 continuing education students, and 4,210 overseas students enrolled.

    Douglas College grants bachelor's degrees and provides public university arts and science courses and career programs in health care, human services, business, and the creative arts.

    Douglas has the most bachelor's and post-graduate programs of any college in British Columbia. He is known for integrating a university's intellectual underpinnings with a college's career-ready abilities.

    Each year, about 17,000 students (including 4,210 foreign students from 92 countries) enroll in for-credit courses at Douglas. Because of the college's solid intellectual foundation, most of these for-credit courses transfer to several research institutions in British Columbia and across Canada, giving students numerous routes to achieve their academic objectives.

    Through Continuing Education and The Training Group, Douglas provides over 8,500 students with hundreds of short-term, high-quality non-credit courses, seminars, and workshops in business, music, health, perinatal, career development, industrial training, and more.

    Douglas has over 960 experienced, teaching-focused faculty members who bring academic excellence and real-world experience to the classroom. Outside of the school, over 900 other personnel collaborate to provide a welcoming, inspirational, supporting, and courteous atmosphere.

    The College's significant campuses are in Metro Vancouver, and several smaller training sites in Surrey, Maple Ridge, and Burnaby. Douglas is one of Metro Vancouver's best post-secondary institutions, with both main campuses on SkyTrain lines, attracting students from all across the region.

    History

    The institution was founded in 1970 and is named after Sir James Douglas, the previous Governor of British Columbia. Kwantlen College separated from Douglas College in 1981.
