College of the Rockies, founded in 1975, serves a regional population of about 83,000 people through its Mission, Vision, and Values, as well as the leadership of its President and Board of Governors.
Each year, the institution educates roughly 2100 full-time equivalent students, including almost 200 international students from more than 30 countries. It is situated in the Rocky Mountains of British Columbia. The area has lovely hiking trails, famed hot springs resorts, and some of Canada's best skiing and snowboarding regions.

Throughout the academic year, the college provides a variety of activities and events to enhance students' experiences, such as ski day, coed basketball league, Avalanche volleyball match, fitness courses, Zumba, Yoga, and cross-country skiing.
Cranbrook University has two campuses. Most of the college's administrative offices and student services are located on the main campus, while the Gold Creek site provides a range of technical programs.
