    Public education in Newfoundland and Labrador is provided through the College of the North Atlantic (CNA), often known as the Institution of the North Atlantic (NL). It has a history that goes back more than 55 years and is now considered one of the most essential post-secondary educational and skills training facilities in Atlantic Canada.

    Today, the College of the North Atlantic has 17 campus locations, including facilities throughout Newfoundland and Labrador; thousands of students studying at partner universities in China; and a technical education college for the State of Qatar in the Middle East.

    Additionally, the College of the North Atlantic has a presence in the Middle East with a campus in Qatar. The College of the North Atlantic maintains a presence in the Middle East by operating a campus in Qatar.

    CNAs provide more than one hundred full-time programs in Newfoundland and Labrador; each year, almost nine thousand students enrol in one of these programs. The tuition at CNA is now among the most affordable of any postsecondary institution in Atlantic Canada, and this trend will not change anytime soon.
