    The Central Agency of Public Administration (CDPA) is Nepal's central department for studies in public administration. It is managed by Tribhuvan University's Faculty of Management (FoM) (TU). It provides subjects that are connected with Nepal's civil service system. The Central Department of Public Administration (CDPA) works closely with the government, including curriculum revisions and new programs to meet their requirements.

    Initially, public administration education began with a one-year certificate in public administration and in-service training for HMG Second Class Gazetted Officers at Tribhuvan University's Center for Economic Development and Administration (CEDA). Later, in 1976, the Public Administration Campus (PAC) was formed as full-fledged constituent campus of Tribhuvan University. PAC gained exclusive authority over public administration education and pursued a "Diploma in Public Administration" (DPA Program until 1979).

    In 1979, the aim soon expanded to include the provision of a Master's degree in Public Administration. Tribhuvan University established the Central Department of Public Administration (CDPA) in 1986 to improve and gain independence. PAC/CDPA has taught, taught, and studied public affairs management.

    CDPA's Public Administration Campus includes compassionate instructors, staff, and activities to help students in their educational and social growth. The campus Chief is the PAC's chief administrative officer. As teaching assistants, 16 academic staff work with other guest professors. A dozen administrative workers are also hired to help with day-to-day administration. Other prominent employees promoting the program include the deputy campus chief and the program manager. Some famous, prominent individuals who have committed to the MPA program include Prof. Fred Rigs of the University of Hawaii, Prof. Dr. P.S Bhattanakar of the Rajasthan University of Jaipur, and Prof. Avubewa of the University of the Philippines.

    Qualification Requirements

    • BPA: Students who have passed 10+2 or equivalent examinations from recognized academic institutes with a second division (45% or higher) or a 1.8 CGPA are eligible to participate in this program. OR Higher secondary level graduates in any field with at least a second division from any TU-accredited school are eligible for the BPA program.
    • MPA: Candidates for the MPA program must have a Bachelor's degree in any field from Tribhuvan University or any university approved by TU.
    • MPhil: Applicants must have completed a master's degree in Public Administration or a master's degree in any other subject approved by Tribhuvan University (TU) with at least a Second Division or equivalent CGPA. The applicant must have one year of work experience in either teaching or other areas of administration and management. It is necessary to submit two references, one from the present workplace and one from the most recent academic institute studied.
