Buckinghamshire New University

    Buckinghamshire New University
    Established on: 1891

Buckinghamshire New University (BNU) is an English public university with High Wycombe, Aylesbury, Uxbridge, and Great Missenden campuses. The school was founded in 1891 as the School of Science and Art.

Wycombe Technical Institute, High Wycombe College of Technology and Art, and Buckinghamshire College of Higher Education have all had names since then.

From 1999 to 2007, when its bid for university status was accepted, it was a university college. The university is a GuildHE member.

The University of Buckingham is one of the country's earliest autonomous universities, a haven for creative, ambitious students. The university continues to expand its academic expertise in various disciplines (humanities, business, education, medicine and health, computing and AI, psychology, and law), building a strong foundation of teaching staff and international visiting lecturers to enhance students' learning experiences.

The university's Oxbridge-style tutorials, established by a Royal Charter, guarantee that class numbers are small enough for every student to thrive.

Students can participate in various leisure and competitive activities through the University's Sports and Fitness programs. The Fitness Centre on Hunter Street is available seven days a week from 6 a.m. to midnight and is well-equipped with weights, resistance, and cardiovascular equipment.

Students will appreciate the peaceful study areas, breakout rooms, and lounges available at Buckingham Campus's two libraries. There is room for studying, reading, using University PCs, browsing the shelves, and researching.

The institution hosts several major academic databases to give students with the papers, statistics, cases, and information they require to complete their examinations.

The University of Buckingham, located on a lovely riverfront campus, is easily accessible from London, less than an hour from Oxford, and near the M1 and M40. Milton Keynes Central Station is around a 20-minute walk away.  As a non-profit organisation, all tuition costs are reinvested in providing a five-star educational experience.

The university offers a variety of undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses for students to select from. Furthermore, the institution offers courses that are uncommon in British universities. Air Transport with Commercial Pilot Training is one such programme.

One of the most notable benefits offered by the university is individualised attention given to each student. It welcomes these students into an intellectually engaging environment where they can prepare for the jobs of their dreams. As a result, it attracts exceptional students from all over the world.

Graduate and undergraduate students are given early access to opportunities to participate in hands-on research by faculty members and departments. This allows students to supplement their education by collaborating with researchers on the cutting edge of their fields.

It is also one of London's leading suppliers of nursing students. Aside from academic brilliance, the university is well-known for its extensive alumni network. Among the notable graduates of the university is vocalist Rebecca Stephens, artist John Bolam, actor Chris Joyce, model and actress Veronica Carlson, and many more.
